Research Assistant/Research Associates in Medical Statistics at
University of Sheffield

The School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR) at the University of
Sheffield seeks two statisticians to help develop and support its research.
These will be joint posts between the Yorkshire and Humber Research
Design Service (RDS) and the Sheffield Clinical Trials Research Unit
(CTRU). Reporting to Senior Medical Statisticians within the Medical
Statistics Group candidates should have knowledge of the application of
statistics to medical problems. Experience in the use statistics in
clinical trials and other research designs would also be useful.
Depending on experience and the level at which the candidates are
employed (Grade 6 or 7), the post-holders will be involved in all
statistical aspects of RDS and CTRU studies, including statistical input
to research proposal development, analysis and reporting, the
development of statistical analysis plans and study design.
The posts are available for two years, the positions are full-time, but
part-time of a minimum of 28 hours per week will be considered.

Salary: Grade 6: £23,449 - £27,183 per annum pro rata, with the
expectation of annual incremental progression.
Grade 7: £27,999 - £35,469 per annum pro rata, with the expectation of
annual incremental progression.
Terms and conditions of employment: Will be those for Grade 6/7 staff.
