Dear archaeobotanists,
an anthropologist at our department found indication of mechanical
irritation on a human mandible from an Arabian site concluding on the
use of psychoactive plants, in particular the use of Qat.
She wanted to know whether there is any archaeobotanical evidence for
the use of Qat or at least finds of the fruits from Catha edulis.
Any references are welcome.
Thanks.
Regards,
Simone
