Another element that seems to be missing from this discussion so far (unless I
missed it) is the perspective(s) of 'unimpaired' people whose experiences of
disability (in the social model sense) spring from being part of a 'disabled'
family. Neither truly 'non-disabled' nor 'disabled' for the purposes of
identity politics, they may nevertheless have understandings and contributions
to make, including through research if that's where it leads them.
