Dear list members,
a group of epidemiologists who are working on a project of the Ministry of
Health has asked some of my colleagues at SiTI to carry out a review of
transport policies and actions which have or should have (had) an effect on
health, the latter intended in as broad as possible a way (stress, traumas,
diseases).
The review should extend abroad (ie out of Italy) and be based on
literature.
Not necessarily policies and actions reviewed should have been devised with
health in mind.
Whenever possible the literature used should include an evaluation of the
policies or actions described, therefore policies for which these have been
carried out are of particular interest.
This is clearly a very wide subject and I am forwarding on behalf of my
colleagues two requests to the list:
1. Could you point us to similar reviews carried out elsewhere?
2. Could you point us to literature on the subject including evaluation of
the effect of health due to particular transport policies or actions?
Any information is gratefully received.
Please reply to me directly and I'll forward the answers to the colleagues
interested.
Many thanks and best wishes
Andrea
