Dear List
Thank you for your help so far
I am analyzing a data set with a flexible factorial design and with some help from Cyril Pernet, Donald McLaren and Jan Glascher I have been able to load in all my scans in one go and then use a matrix to build the design. I have 3 groups, drug 1, drug 2 and placebo and I have 8 conditions. Each condition is separate from the next and so I'm interested in how the drugs effect the neural response to each condition. I have done this by setting up contrasts to compare each condition for drug 1 and placebo and then drug2 and placebo etc.
But what I would like to know next is how best to compare the 2 drug groups with each other for each condition, is it valid to do it the same way i.e drug1 vs drug2 for each condition? or would a conjunction analysis be best ? and if so would this be drug vs placebo for condition A slected as well as drug2 vs placebo condition A?
thanks so much in advance
