Hello
I am doing research on the DTI of normal white matter development in
children/adolescent group (5-17 years).
I used customized template using our own B0 image as described in previous
papers.
I have run SPM to know correlation between FA map and Age and got quite a
good result.
The problem is that there is a substantial part of significantly correlated area
seen outside brain and adjacent to the basal part of brain (inferior temporal
near the temporal base).
At first, I thought explicit mask would be helpful for excluding these outside
brain areas. But, I have not standard T2 images or T1 images for my study.
I only have EPI B0, ADC, and FA map.
In this case, How could I make an explicit mask in order to exclude non-brain
voxels? Or is there any other solution for that?
I am looking forward your advice.
With best regards,
