I guess that you mean spatial resolution, e.g. 2x2x2mm ? In SPM5, this
is set to 2x2x2 by default. It can be changed by using the functions
from the command line, but this is not very handy.

The current version is available at
http://dbm.neuro.uni-jena.de/vbm/vbm5-for-spm5/. You don't even have to
re-segment the images you already processed: select "Write already
estimated" and select your voxel size in the extended options.

The sampling distance is only relevant when estimating the segmentation.
Not sure I understand the last part?
