Durham University is seeking to appoint a Professor in an appropriate
discipline, from 1st September 2009 or as soon as possible thereafter, to lead
the new Institute for Local Governance (ILG).
ILG is a collaboration between the Universities, local councils and other public
service partners in the North East Region.
You will have:
- an internationally recognised profile of excellence in research, in any area of
applied research relevant to innovation, improvement and efficiency in the
public services
- a breadth of interests and experience of managing research organisations
with multiple stakeholders.
The position is non-fixed term and the salary will be within the Professorial
range.
