interesting comments on the politics inferred from Duffy's poem, whjile
you admit it seems pretty much attempting to stay a-political. Yeah,
there doesnt seem to be anything about the scandal, rather more fully
cynical about politics as a whole (ann understandable stance on both
sides of the pond, really, if you look at our PM & party too),
But also, what more do you expect from any PL? I certainly dont expect
much, but nthen never did from Duffy beyond some wit, & occasional
entertainment. I certainly dont find her to be one of the poets I
continually learn from....
