About directors: absolutely crucial to get the one that's simpatico with
you. I hope you're in a position to do that. Interview them thoroly, and
when you've chosen the one[s] you most approve, you'll find, I think, that
you can let them 'take over'. They'll mediate between actors for you as
well as do their job with a creative spin on your work that will astonish
you!! I hope you will be Very Firm with your current director. She or he
MUST know what you want; the director's role is crucial to your work, but it
is, after all, secondary to your role as creator of that work; you are THE
PLAYWRIGHT!
