The theoretical group involving M. Aymar, O. Dulieu, V. Kokoouline, and E.
Luc-Koenig working on cold molecules at the Laboratory Aimé Cotton (CNRS) at
the University of Paris-Sud XI (Orsay, France) is looking for a
post-doctoral associate in the area of quantum control of few-body atomic
collisions at low and ultralow energies in the 1microK-1K range. The
position is available immediately. The initial appointment is for one year
with a possibility to extend it for the second year upon a mutual agreement.
The candidate must have excellent knowledge in theoretical atomic and
molecular physics, must demonstrate strong programming skills, and should be
familiar with numerical methods to solve the time-dependent Schrodinger
equation, with the field of quantum/coherent control, with ab initio
calculations for small molecules including excited states. Interested
candidates should send their application to Viatcheslav Kokoouline (slavako
AT gmail.com) including the following documents (a) a letter of motivation
with a brief statement of the accomplished work and candidate's research
interests (2 pages maximum), (b) a resume with the list of publications, and
(c) arrange two recommendation letters sent directly by the referees and
preferably mentioning the skills described above.
Laboratory Aime Cotton (http://www.lac.u-psud.fr/) is leading laboratory in
the area of atomic, molecular, and optical physics of the “Centre National
de la Recherche Scientifique” (CNRS). University of Paris-Sud XI is one of
the largest universities in France situated in Orsay, 30 minutes by train
from the center of Paris.
