£29,704 - £44,930 per annum, dependant on qualifications and experience
The Entertainment Technology Group within the School of Computing and
Communications supports programmes delivering high-quality teaching
and research across the range of technologies employed by the
broadcast, cinematic, music, events and computer games industries.
Media Technology is the longest established programme, specialising in
audio and video technologies for the broadcast media sector. The group
is committed to providing real-world experience for students and has
an ongoing engagement with high profile broadcast events utilising the
School's Outside Broadcast vehicle and other professional location
technologies.
Applications are invited for the position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer
specialising in Media Technology but teaching across all courses in
the Entertainment Technology Group. Applicants for this post should
possess experience of broadcast communication and networking
technologies, together with a working knowledge of digital radio and
television transmission over a variety of platforms. An interest in
audio and/or video systems would also be useful.
Experience of teaching or training would be an advantage, as would a
postgraduate or professional qualification. However, the confidence to
communicate complex technical knowledge and ideas to students,
together with the desire to inspire and motivate, is essential.
