Digital Film Production

Grade 6/7: Pro rata to £29,705 to £42,351 per annum
Film at Falmouth provides a sound theoretical backbone and vital
practical grounding, from writing about films to making them. Students
develop a broad understanding of the artists, social and historical
importance of film. The course also specialises in topics that
traditional courses overlook, such as film audience research, film
journalism and archive research.
We are looking to recruit two 0.5 lecturer / senior lecturers, with
experience of teaching film production within a HE environment.
Applicants should have proven track record of working in digital film
production with relevant experience in one or more of the following
areas:
* Directing
* Producing
* Screenwriting
* Editing
* Cinematography
An ongoing and demonstrable commitment to research and/or professional
practice in the area of Digital Film is essential, underpinned by a
professional (and academic) understanding of the issues facing the
creative industries due to emerging media technologies
The ability to contribute to teaching on one or more of Screenwriting,
Sound Design or New Media would be advantageous, as would a higher
qualification in a relevant subject..
