Hi Michael,
you are right on those, but then, not even Flash works there - on most
of the ones you mention.
So what shall we do - avoid 'deeper' interactive features just because
they are not 100% compatible with everything? How about people who are
forced to use IE6? Should we develop just of IE6 and forget even about
standard compliance and RSS and the whole of what happened in the last
9 years since IE6 was released?
I also have an iPhone and I don't understand it when people develop a
whole site in Flash these days - there is reason for it. But when it's
an add-on I cannot see on my iPhone or Nokia E75 (Symbian, slow as
hell :-), hey sooner or later I'll get back to my office and use my
Mac to see what I was missing. I really don't understand what is the
big deal?
Cross platform means a lot of things - but again, the site, as you
noted, *is* cross platform. Just 99% of it, not 100%. You can see it,
enjoy it, use it. For the extra 1% - if you really want it - there are
free computers everywhere! Come to my office! :-)
