Google Squared (http://www.google.com/squared) launched yesterday, which, as
the Techcrunch article (http://tinyurl.com/r8qyuk) says, 'structures the
unstructured data on web pages' and 'looks for data structures on the web
that imply facts'.
I played with this last night with trivial (but successful) searches search
us 'uk political parties' or 'welsh mountains', but have just realised that
it is also implicitly a type of cross-collections search:
http://www.google.com/squared/search?q=da+vinci+paintings
http://www.google.com/squared/search?q=mechanical+calculator
http://www.google.com/squared/search?q=world+war+2+tanks
http://www.google.com/squared/search?q=monet
Interesting stuff, and yet more (shudder) copyright implications? :)
