We get given 1 copy of the paper BNF by our pharmacy. It's also
available online to NHS Athens account holders but it's not as
user-friendly as the hard copy. Students may consult the current BNF
(ref only) or borrow a past edition (overnight).

Subject: Student access to the BNF
Dear all
Re: student access to the BNF
Here at The University of Birmingham we are looking at our current
arrangements for access to the BNF for our medical students. I would be
very
interested to hear from both university and NHS librarians on provision
of both
online and print access to the BNF.
Specifically, it would be really useful to know the following:
* Do you have a print subscription/standing order to the BNF? If
yes,
how many copies do you buy for how many students?
* Are you aware of any free copies given to students?
* Do you subscribe to the online version?
* Do you point students to the 30 minute free access online at
BNF.org?
* As far as you know, is it on any reading lists?
* What feedback, if any, do you get from students about access to
the BNF?
I will happily summarise for the list.
Best wishes,
Nancy
