NICE recommends acupuncture for low back pain
NICE guidelines have established a reputation as one of the most rigorous
evidence based recommendations on therapy. They issued their latest
guideline - on low back pain - in which they recommend a course of
acupuncture for any patient whose back pain persists for more than 6
weeks. The evidence from several high quality studies published in
Acupuncture in Medicine has shown acupuncture to be much better than usual
care.
