At Edge Hill we are currently looking into how we promote reciprocal
membership schemes and how we could improve on this. We are interested in
how other institutions promote membership schemes – e.g Sconul, Nowal etc –
to both their own students, students from other institutions, externals .
We will summarise and post back for the list.
1) List and briefly describe the membership schemes offered, including
the item allowances
2) Which of these, if any, do you actively promote?
3) If you do promote – do you use any of the following methods and
which do you find to be most successful?
• Targeted mailshots
• Targeted emailshots

• During student inductions/ enrolment sessions

• University press advertising

4) Do you actively promote Sconul, and in what way?
5) Have you evaluated the response to specific membership scheme
