**Apologies for cross-posting**
There are only a couple of bedrooms left available for residential spaces for the UKeiG Conference later this month, so if you want a residential space you'll need to book soon!
You can also attend non-residential or one-day only. We can even point you in the direction of some nearby hotels. You can even attend the Conference Drinks and Conference Dinner, although there will be a charge involved.
Here's a little reminder of what it's all about:
UKeiG Conference: Innovation in e-Information - encouraging creative thinking and discussion amongst information professionals
16th-17th June
Manchester Conference Centre
UKeiG pride themselves on listening to their membership and providing what they need, so for their conference in June they have extended the early bird discount. By booking before the 9th April, the full two-day residential conference costs only £300 for members. (Other rates are available for non-members, and non-residential or single day attendance - please see the website for full details: www.ukeig.org.uk).
So you can get two full days of speakers and discussions for less than the price many other training providers charge for a day!
Those who are attending the whole conference will also be able to enjoy the additional benefits of the conference drinks and conference dinner on the night of the 16th, where they will be able to mingle with other guests and speakers and network the evening away.
This major UKeiG event will bring together experienced practitioners to share and discuss the key issues of service delivery across all sectors, providing expert guidance and opinion. Active delegate participation will be key, with opportunities to discuss issues, share experiences and formulate innovative solutions in the breakout sessions, in addition to the top quality speakers who are on offer.
Speakers and topics include:
Jan Wilkinson, Rylands University Library: Customer needs
Richard Wallis, Talis: A new web of information
Nic Price, Independent Adviser: User-centred web design
Laurence Bebbington, University of Nottingham: E-law
Martin White, Intranet Focus Ltd: Risk management
Ross Scrivener, Royal College of Nursing: Web 2 in action
Hazel Hall, Edinburgh Napier University: Social computing tools
