ALISS Visit to Oxford Social Sciences Library and Bodleian Library

ALISS (Association of Librarians and Information professionals in the Social Sciences). are pleased to announce an opportunity to visit two leading libraries of Oxford
The visit will begin at 2pm at the Social Science Library

The Social Science Library opened in the summer of 2004, and brings together collections, services and staff from 7 site libraries. The Library has been cited as a notable success within the University, and this session will outline the planning and consultation behind its design, and current issues and trends. A tour will highlight the facilities and services.
This will be followed by a tour of the Bodleian library and reading room by the official papers librarian who will be focusing on government and official papers collections

There is no charge for ALISS Members.
Non members £5
Attendees will be expected to make their way independently to oxford and meet at the oxford social Sciences Library
