I'm interested in the public health logic that recommends Tamiflu for
contacts of suspected flu patients, but says it is unecessary for the
visiting swabbing GP. I've alerted my PCT to the perceived flaw in their
risk assessment and asked whether they are happy they are fully meeting
their dutyy of care in requiring me as a subcontractor to expose myself to
the risk of flu with a lesser degree of protection that that offered
patients.
No doubt high quality evidence to support their (i.e HPA says so) risk
assessment will be forthcoming.
1 week and counting.
