Hull York Medical School relies heavily on eLearning technologies for curriculum
delivery and communication with staff and students. The post holder will be
responsible for the development and implementation of a training programme
and training materials for both staff and students. The post will also work with
other members of the Learning Resources Team to define, acquire and develop
new resources to fill identified learning needs. This position will be based in
York with the eLearning team, but will require extensive travel around the
HYMS area including Scarborough, Scunthorpe, Hull, and Grimsby. This role
also serves as the initial point of contact for end user queries about the Virtual
Learning Environment and other electronic learning resources.
The successful candidate will have experience in using a virtual learning
environment (VLE), preferably Blackboard, to support teaching and learning,
experience with Web-based communications technologies, and familiarity with
computer assisted assessment, will need to proactively keep abreast of
cutting-edge developments in eLearning and be able to assess suitability for
supporting HYMS' mission.
