Invitation for attending the tutorial day at Mobile HCI 2009
------------------------------------------------------------
September 15th 2009 in Bonn, Germany
http://www.mobilehci09.org/program/tutorials
After 11 years of Mobile HCI, providing an overview of the state of the art becomes more and more challenging. During the tutorial day, a number of well-known researchers will give overviews of the state-of-the-art in selected Mobile HCI research areas. Each tutorial will be 1 hour and will address selected topics in detail. The lecturers will also introduce you to the “must read” papers in this domain. The audience is expected to be varied and include new PhD students targeted at Mobile HCI, practitioners wanting a quick survey of the state-of-the-art, and educators wishing to get an overview of Mobile HCI for their own teaching.
The tutorials are:
- Matt Jones (Swansea University, UK): Mobile Search
- Luca Chittaro (University of Udine, Italy): Information Visualization and Visual Interfaces for Mobile Devices
- Chris Kray (Newcastle University, UK): Mobile Guides
- Marc Langheinrich (Università della Svizzera italiana, Switzerland):
Mobile Privacy
- Enrico Rukzio (Lancaster University, UK): Mobile Interaction with the Real World
- Adrian David Cheok (National University of Singapore): Social and Physical Interaction for Mobile Mixed Reality and Mobile Entertainment Computing
The tutorial day registration fee is €30 for students and €80 for professional participants (when registering before the early registration deadline on June 29 2009). The registration includes access to all the tutorials, as well as coffee/tea and lunch during breaks.
Register now at http://www.mobilehci09.org/registration
I'm looking forward to see you at the Mobile HCI 2009 tutorial day, Enrico.
