Subject: Intensive Teacher Training Workshop
Dear Dr Stockman,
We are organising an Intensive Teacher Training Workshop at University of Oxford on 5th and 6th of July. We truly appreciate if you could help to forward the following information regarding the Workshop to the members of British Association for Chinese Studies! Thank you very much!
A Two-day Intensive Chinese Teachers Training Workshop (ICTTW) will be held at
University of Oxford on 5th and 6th of July. Teachers from all sectors are
welcome to participate in this Workshop. An attending certificate can be issued
to participants by British Inner-University China Centre upon request.
The Workshop (ICTTW) aims to provide Chinese teachers from all sectors -
whether primary, secondary, tertiary or adult education - with practical
knowledge to facilitate and improve their teaching.
The Workshop (ICTTW) includes a teacher panel for answering commonly-
encountered questions in the classrooms; a hand-on workshop for organising
motivating and productive activities in the classrooms; a talk on effective
teaching methodologies of the four language skills; a qualification panel
covering both British and Chinese official Chinese proficiency tests; a talk on
transition from secondary to tertiary Chinese learning and teaching; and a
session on most useful internet tools for teachers and students of Chinese.
More information on the Workshop and the speakers, as well as the registration
form, can be found on
