SECTION OF EPIDEMIOLOGY
MEDICAL STATISTICIAN / EPIDEMIOLOGIST
The Section of Epidemiology at the Institute of Cancer Research is seeking to
recruit a medical statistician, or an epidemiologist with strong analytical skills,
to work on research projects into the causes of cancer, particularly, but not
solely, a large national study of the causes of breast cancer, which is
collecting questionnaires and blood samples from over 100,000 women in the
UK.
The post is full-time or could be part-time, not less than 4 days per week, as
agreed with the applicant, and will be for 2 years in the first instance, with
potential for renewable thereafter. The starting salary will be between
£26,996 p.a. and £37,476 p.a. inclusive, depending on qualifications and
experience. The starting date will be as soon as practical but mutual
arrangement, but could be in the autumn for a suitable candidate now
completing an MSc.
