The Statistics Research and Analysis Group at NFER are looking for a senior statistician to join our busy team. The statistician will contribute to projects at the forefront of educational research in the UK. If you are looking for a new challenge and wish to join a friendly and professional team of statisticians, we would like to hear from you.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic statistician that is eager to further develop their professional knowledge and statistical skills. We are interested in applications from individuals who are capable of carrying out high quality statistical analyses, as part of different research teams across the NFER, and who can take the lead in a number of statistical and strategic areas.
The person appointed will:
be qualified in statistics, preferably with a higher degree;
be experienced in applied research, education or psychometrics;
have a practical and well-organised approach to the analysis of data;
be able to run projects from design to report;
be able to work quickly and accurately to meet deadlines;
be able to communicate effectively, both with researchers and with other statisticians;
work flexibly as a member of a team and be able to work on their own initiative;
perform management responsibilities, potentially to include line management responsibilities;
be involved in Foundation wide activities;
