Applications are invited for the post of Statistician (Research Associate) to
work with Dr Martin Tobin's team. The postholder will be involved in the
analysis of data from large-scale genome-wide association studies of
cardiovascular and lung diseases. There will be scope for the development of
new statistical methodology.
This is a fixed term contract until 31 December 2010, which is immediately
available.
The successful applicant will have a degree level qualification and normally an
MSc in a relevant discipline. Applications are especially welcome from
candidates at a junior postdoctoral stage. Previous experience of genetic
epidemiology studies is not necessary, but willingness to learn new approaches
and programming skills is essential.
