these programs is scheduled for spring 2010 and will target strategies for
improving the management of drawings and associated technical documents
during the major design and development activity that is expected during the
build up for the London Olympics in 2012.
Commenting on the appointment Julie McLeod, Professor in Records
Management in the School of Computing, Engineering and Information
Sciences said “We are delighted that Len Asprey has accepted the invitation
to be a Visiting Professor. He brings a wealth of current practical experience
and expertise in document and information management. Developing a training
programme focusing on technical drawings and documents fits very well with
the School’s subject domain and will support initiatives to create synergies
between the Information Sciences and Engineering groups. Len's expertise
complements that of our other Visiting Professor, Philip Jones, Staffordshire
County Council.”
