Hello Ruth
I meant to respond to this as of course you know I am extremely interested - however, unable to meet up at BCU that day (will be at a conference in Barcelona). Don't know what sort of response you've had to your invite - do let me know if there are any interesting outcomes to report.
Best wishes

Hello everyone
Apologies for cross posting but I am not sure where we all are:-)
Is all - or the majority - of your role working with academic staff to
embed employability (and PDP?) in the curriculum? Would you find it
useful to get together with other people doing that job? Are there ways
we could work together to share ideas, strategies or resources,
successes or woes?
If I am describing you and your needs then I would like to invite you to
get together with others in a similar role on 3rd July at Birmingham
City University - to meet and explore the possibilities!
My job is completely staff facing - although I come from a careers and
therefore student facing background. The sorts of things I do are
running workshops, and maintaining and creating resources for staff (and
for staff to use with students) around employability, employer
engagement and personal and professional development. I have met up with
other people doing broadly similar jobs and it is always great to find
'kindred spirits'. 5 of us met by accident recently and it occurred to
me that we should all meet by design. What do you think?
If you would like to meet up please get in touch. If I have just
described a colleague of yours please forward this invitation to them
I look forward to hearing from - and meeting - you
Best wishes everyone
Ruth
