We seek a forward thinking senior manager to join Library & Student Support Services and lead our Business & Information Systems Team. Business & Information Systems is responsible for processes that underpin the technical support and infrastructure required to deliver all L&SS services. This includes purchasing, finance, digitisation, metadata, systems and support, document supply and web management. L&SS is an Ex Libris customer and uses a range of the company's products, including Aleph and Digitool.
You will join a Leadership Team with responsibility for the strategic and operational management of a large customer-focussed service which is responsible for library, computing support and student administrative and support services.
An experienced manager with recognised expertise in one or more of the areas covered by the portfolio you will have drive and commitment, be capable of operating with clear vision and focus at a strategic level and be able to deliver your objectives. Experience of managing in a library or other public sector organisation would be welcome but is not essential. Extensive experience of service delivery, as well as an understanding of relevant issues in Higher Education is essential. The post requires strong communication skills, experience of project management and the ability to work collaboratively within the HE sector. Staff management skills and the ability to provide consultative and inspired leadership is critical to this post, with the aim of delivering a range of cross Service objectives.
