the way information is managed. You will be actively involved in helping the
Council manage this important resource by rolling out records management
standards across the authority. A Records Management (or equivalent)
graduate or with equivalent work experience in a records management
environment, you will have the drive, determination and energy to help deliver
our future needs and the wider public sector agenda. Newly qualified
graduates are welcome to apply.
The main duties of the post will be to undertake information audits and
contribute towards the development of retention schedules, file plans and
action plans for service areas. Providing day-to-day support to business areas
of the Council in the interpretation and application of records management
standards such as ISO 15489 is also important in this role.
You will have an understanding of the implications of ISO 15489 and the
legislative framework underpinning records management. You will be confident
with the use of IT, able to work to deadlines under pressure and will be willing
to travel across the borough as required.
This is a temporary post which provides a valuable opportunity to gain
experience in a small local authority team.
