The Joint Research Centre of the European Commission has a new vacancy for a postdoctoral researcher on transport technology issues.
Candidates should have experience in one of the following fields: transport engineering, industrial organisation, environmental economics, software engineering or statistics.
Good knowledge of quantitative approaches for transport technology assessment and modelling transport systems, demand in transportation sectors (trip-generation algorithms etc) would be highly valuable.
Candidates must hold a doctoral degree, or have fulfilled all the obligations to obtain a PhD (certified by the university), or have a minimum of 5 years research experience after the first university degree giving access to doctoral studies (which may include periods of training such as a masters degree) in a field relevant to the JRC's scientific activities.
The working language is English.
