Hi Lucie
I wonder is the ascidian growing over something esle to get that form
- it displays more 'typical' didemnid morphology lower in the image.
Superficially it has the same gross morphology as some sponge species
eg holopsama or caulospongia species. Hard to give a definiitve answer
from a photo. I would be very interested to see what people come up
with. Sorry no help
good luck
Justin
