Title
Spatial Surveillence: We Know Where You (and things) Are
Abstract
Human beings have long appreciated both the knowledge and power that come
with knowing one's location. Whereas in the past, such knowledge was in the
hands of a privileged few, modern geotechnologies allow near-ubiquitous
access to this information. This seminar explores some of the ways we can
now measure and observe the location of people and objects and then examines
the uses, both good and bad, to which this information can be put.
