Lecturer in Political Theory (ref. 14745)
Department of Politics
Based within the Department of Politics, a vibrant academic community with
an international reputation, you will join a top-ranking centre of
excellence in teaching and research. The Department comprises 28 research
active staff, hosts the Global Insecurities Centre, attracts over 100
students each year to our Masters programmes and a similar number to our
Undergraduate programmes. It also supports a dynamic research student
community. You will make an important contribution both to the research
output of the Department and to our successful taught programmes at
undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
The Department welcomes applications in any area or subject specialist
contribution in Political Theory. Applications from candidates with proven
research and teaching strength in environmental politics; global justice;
gender would be particularly welcomed. Ideally the successful candidate
will be available to take up the post in September 2009.
It is expected that presentations will be held during the afternoon of
30th June with interviews taking place during the morning of 1st July
2009.
Grade: Level b in Pathway 1
Salary: £33,432 - £37,651
