Oh my, Martin, you do have a tough life, being so damned brilliant! Despite
my being the High Goddess, or p'raps because of it, I do feel sorry for my
dear you and other minions. I mean, you actually crunch together all of
these deep concerns in this liddle email.
But I digress.
Sounds like you mean "self-absorbed" rather than one who wears his heart on
his sleeve. Well, join the human club, Martin. Do you know anybody who is
not self-absorbed? And would you want to know them, if they were knowable?
Acourse I mean *healthily* self-absorbed. My bet is that your two mates
[blokes, chaps, guys] were either telling you to shut up bcuz you were going
on so, or that they were jealous of your facility with language and your
super intellect.
Robin the Hamilton was not struck dumb; he was struck with over-sleepiness.
Attempting to save an email to Drafts so that he could comment on it when
he awoke, he mis-clicked, et voila we all know exactly as much as we knew
before, and we will have to await The Researcher's waking up in order to
know what he has to say about various etymologies.
I rather like, btw, Flatears' self-described role as a creative etymologist.
Best,
Judy
