Dear All,
We would like to have an obituary for Bill Pettitt to be published in
NatSCA News. Who knew him best to be qualified to do this for us?

I have to pass on the sad news that Bill Pettitt has died.
He was a founder member of the BCG, involved with Fenscore (a national
database of collection information and research), and Keeper of
Invertebrate Zoology at the Manchester Museum until his retirement in
the mid-1990s on health grounds.
He suffered from angina for many years, and I assume that this is what
finally caught up with him. His funeral was on 8th April at Stockport
Crematorium.
