POSTDOC IN THEORETICAL CHEMISTRY
A postdoc position is available at the Weizmann Institute in Rehovot, Israel
in the group of Prof. David Tannor. We have recently developed a
fascinating variation on Bohmian mechanics that appears to much more local
than the conventional formulation but in which the quantum trajectories are
complex. The postdoc project would involve extending this work in several
new directions including nonadiabatic dynamics, development of a mixed
classical-quantum propagation scheme, extending the method to density matrix
evolution and decoherence, and development of a novel quantum transition
state theory. The Weizmann Institute is a beautiful place to work with
excellent facilities. The climate is beautiful year round and there is
great history, archaeology and nature nearby. Salaries are competitive and
the Institute has subsidized housing designated for postdocs. The position
