I am looking at lithics collected from north of Stonehenge at Fargo Plantation.
About 30-40% are markfieldite (Leicestershire 'granite') and most have a
restricted size range.
Does anyone know the size and or weight of railway ballast/non-wearing
course aggregate.
I want to show that these are 19th/20th cent rather than Bronze age.
Also does anyone know the same for limestone/basalt top road surface
chippings-these have bitumen so very little chance they are BA.
thanks for your help
