Number of students: 70-80 from the University of California. The students take three other courses during their time in London - London: Society and Space, British Theatre, and London Museums.
Course: The course will focus on British films and directors chosen by instructor in order to critically explore the medium and historical, cultural and social issues it raises.
Teaching: Film screenings, lecture in the mornings and seminars in the evenings (6 hours class contact per week, on Wednesdays)
Assessment: we expect students to produce approximately 4,500 words each during the semester per course. This can be divided into a number of papers and is at the discretion of the instructor.
Salary: £9,270.00
Instructor is responsible for paying their own NI, taxes etc.
The salary is paid in three installments: twice during the semester (Oct and Nov) and once in January after grades are submitted.
