Dear All
Whilst I concur that some posters to this list contribute more than the average member, I do not consider it too much trouble to delete the message should it not be of interest/relevance to me.
All contributions to the list have the potential to be valuable to someone - I am on a number of other lists and the comments made regarding this list could be used with regard to these lists too, given the proliferation of postings from certain people. Whilst I am always open to new information and ideas the delete button does come in handy sometimes!

Dear all,
I see nothing wrong with Gerard's contributions and look forward to them. I think it seems entirely inappropriate that one person is being commented on so publically now in this discussion forum. If anything this discussion thread would make me re-consider membership.

I agree, Austin. I believe that most users of this list hold back on
updating everybody every time they write a new blog post and that Gerard
tends to be the exception to this. Perhaps someone could write him a polite
email suggesting that the list is for discussion rather than simply
promoting one's blogs.
However, maybe I am missing something by deleting these emails-could he sell
us on the usefulness of this information, as at present I am not tempted to
read them or follow the links (having done so in the past)?
I think if Gerard's frequent emails continue, people may be tempted to leave
this list if they haven't already.
