Dear Colleagues,
We are receiving reports of multiple email alerts being received by our users, some in excess of 200.
The reason for this occurring is that the MyLibrary-MyUpdate email alerts had not been working for some time (since November 2008). We had raised the issue with Eduserv, and they applied a fix for this yesterday.
However, all of the previously failed alerts were stored in the database, waiting to be sent, and the bug-fix inadvertently triggered them to be posted.
Our sincere apologies to those of you who have received these multiple emails, and our assurance that our technical staff are working to ensure this does not recur.
With kind regards,
Pauline
