Save the date! 30/31st July, in Edinburgh.
With grateful support from the JISC, the Digital Curation Centre, and
Edinburgh University School of Informatics.... the Repository Fringe
team bring you "Beyond the Fringe: Repository Fringe 2009" [#rf09]
This year we want to draw attention to all the amazing work that has
been happening as part of the JISC Rapid Innovation calls, the various
Repository Challenges and International Meetings.... and we will
hopefully have a wee "Challenge" all of our own :)
We will be seeking people to demonstrate (live?) their innovative works;
to take part in a "Pecha Kucha" session (see
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pecha_Kucha &
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGaCLWaZLI4); to join in (or lead!) Round
Table discussions; and to partake of the occasional Tutorial.
There will be a DCC Associates' Network event as part of the
not-a-conference, and delegates would be encouraged to join the
association on the day if that interests them.
Full announcement to follow, with plans and maps and costs and lots more
information.
Write it in your diary, book your holidays, work out your travel
plans.... stay longer & enjoy the Edinburgh Festival afterwards!
