7th World Congress Update
-------------

1. Pre-Congress Symposium Cancellation

We regret to inform you that the Pre-Congress Symposium on July 9-10, 2009, "Provider Payment Symposium: How to Do it? Who Has Done it Well?" has been cancelled.

2. New Pre-Congress Training Session

You can now register for "Bayesian Approaches to Evidence Synthesis & Decision Modelling" through:

3. Invitation Letters

We have been informed by the Host Organizing Committee in Beijing that you may also apply for a normal tourist visa without the need for an invitation from the Chinese Health Economics Association. However if you do require or prefer to get an invitation letter you can do that through:

**NOTE THAT IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU APPLY FOR YOUR VISA IMMEDIATELY IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY DONE SO**

4. Exhibits

Exhibit booth space and table space (for organizational members) is still available. Please contact Christopher Martin ([log in to unmask]) if you are interested.

5. The deadline for ads for the program is June 8, 2009. Please contact Christopher Martin ([log in to unmask]) if you are interested.

6. Accommodation

If you have not already done so please ensure that you book and confirm your accommodation as soon as possible:

7. Program

We will soon post the final list and give you a chance for any last minute edits. Please stay tuned.

8. Meetings

- There will be a National/Regional association on Sunday July 12, 2009. Time will be announced.
- We will host a meeting for any groups interested in hosting a future iHEA congress. Please contact Christopher Martin ([log in to unmask]) if you are interested in attending.
- The iHEA Board will meet Saturday, July 11, 2009 from 10:00 AM-3:00 PM and Sunday, July 12, 2009 from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM.

9. Please note that if your registration for the 7th World Congress has not yet been paid we are unable to offer any visa support until your registration is paid in full.

Also note that if you are on the program, failure to contact us or pay your balance by May 31, 2009 will result in your abstract being removed from the program. Payments can be made by logging on to your personal profile at www.healtheconomics.org/login.html.


2009 iHEAweek Election Results
-------------

Thanks to everyone who participated in this election for the President, President-Elect and Treasurer. Here are the results:

Guillem Lopez i Casasnovas was elected as iHEA President. Anne Mills has been elected as President-elect  and will follow Guillem as President when his term expires. James F. Burgess has been re-elected as iHEA Treasurer.

Congratulations and we'd like to wish them a very productive term on the Board.
