Thanks to everyone for their comments on and off-list. Essentially the xcopy
command with its qualifiers, plus the paths specified in quotes, was what
was required.

It's a dying art, I know, but can anyone help me with a batch file which I
can run from my memory stick and which will copy a file from that stick to a
specific location on whichever computer it's plugged into?
The best I can come up with (which doesn't work) is:
@echo off
copy Database.mdb C:\Program Files\Acme software\Database.mdb /y
Or is there a better solution than a batch file?
