Dear all, a follow-up note to my earlier announcement about the DRN conference on 8th October.
There's no need to ask for places to be reserved. I'll post an email here shortly saying how to register for a place. Just hold the day free in your diaries!
If you need to contact me about the conference please use [log in to unmask] so as not to fill everyone's email inbox.
Many thanks

Dear DRN-ers,
The next Drawing Research Network (DRN) one-day conference will take place on Thursday 8th October 2009. The venue will be the Cochrane Theatre, Southampton Row, London.
If you think you might like to attend, please reserve this date in your diaries and I'll be back in touch with more details as soon as possible.
This conference will be in collaboration with the Campaign for Drawing (CfD) who are holding a number of events in London either side of the 8th October. The central London venue provides an opportunity to bring together those attending CfD events and those from the DRN. We are aiming for about 100 attendees.
In previous years our DRN conferences have been generously supported by our host institutions (Kingston, Wimbledon, Loughborough) but our use of a central London venue this year necessitates a modest charge to delegates. I am currently awaiting a final costing and will let this email forum know the conference fee and booking details later this month.
The Cochrane Theatre, on Southampton Row, is a short bus ride from Euston Station. The nearest tube station is Holborn.
Provisional start time is 10.30am and I aim to finish at 4.30pm. If possible there will be an optional early evening event close by for those who can stay for a drink and a chat.
I am currently working on the programme of guest speakers. I plan that there will be 4 one-hour presentations. If you would like to suggest a possible speaker for this conference I'd be pleased to hear from you.
Best wishes
Steve Garner
DRN Director
