Archives and auteurs – Filmmakers and their archives

A reminder that early-bird registration for the conference closes on 31st May.
The conference brings archivists, researchers and academics together to look
at the ways in which the study of the archives of filmmakers and the film
industry can provide new perspectives and insights into the history of cinema.
The programme will include papers presented by archivists and curators from
the BFI, the Stanley Kubrick Archive (University of the Arts, London), the Bill
Douglas Centre for the History of Cinema and Popular Culture (University of
Exeter), the Lindsay Anderson Archive (University of Stirling), the Ingmar
Bergman Foundation Archive, Stockholm, and the Margaret Herrick Library, Los
Angeles.
