The CLAHRC for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is one of nine CLAHRCs
nationally and is a collaborative partnership between the University of
Cambridge and a consortium of NHS and Social Service Organisations;
these are the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust that
acts as host to the CLAHRC, NHS Cambridgeshire, NHS Peterborough,
Cambridgeshire County Council and the Strategic Health Authority. The
University component includes the Department of Psychiatry, the
Institute of Public Health, the Judge Business School and the
Engineering Design Centre. The CLAHRC for Cambridgeshire and
Peterborough has a particular focus on mental health and illness over
the lifespan.
The post holder will be a member of a newly formed public health
research team. This research team will also work within the themes
where the involvement will be generalised and not specific to mental
health, as well as focusing on the implementation and evaluation of
research themes and service configuration and delivery.
The post-holder will have medical statistics higher degree, or numerate
degree with post-graduate qualification. A PhD, either awarded or due
for completion, in a numerate subject is required or three years
post-graduate experience. Demonstrable statistical analysis expertise
is required together with a research background.
The role will support and maintain the University's national and
international reputation for excellence in teaching and research.
