The National Collaborating Centre for Women's and Children's Health (NCC-WCH) is a friendly and enthusiastic health research team based in Goodge Street in Central London.
This role presents an opportunity for someone wishing to develop their systematic reviewing skills over a wide range of study types for a NICE guideline.
As a member of the technical development team you will contribute to the process of systematic reviewing for our clinical and cost effective guideline recommendations. Directed by senior members of the team you will support the technical team by undertaking critical appraisal and accurate data extraction. You will also prepare the initial analysis and draft of the systematic review so that it can be presented by the technical team in a concise format that is clinically relevant for the multi-disciplinary guideline development group.
NCC-WCH develops professionally led evidence-based clinical guidelines for NHS professionals who care for children, young people and women and their families. We are funded by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) and governed by a Consortium Board which includes the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, the Royal College of Midwives, the Royal College of Nursing and a range of stakeholder, consumer and academic partners including the Royal College of General Practitioners. Our host organisation is the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists which holds the contract of employment.
