South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and Institute of Psychiatry, Kings College London.
Applications are invited for the post of Non-Clinical Lecturer in Biostatistics to join the NIHR Specialist Biomedical Research Centre for Mental Health (BRC-MH) and the Department of Biostatistics at the Institute of Psychiatry, Kings College London.
The BRC-MH, funded by the National Institute for Health Research, undertakes translational research across 7 disorder-specific themes and 3 cross-cutting themes (www.brc.iop.kcl.ac.uk). The BRC-MH recently secured a £3m infrastructure grant from Trustees of the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and the Guys and St Thomas' Trust (GSTT) Charity for a 'Nucleus' of IT developments, bioinformatics and biostatistics to support a variety of strategically important BRC-MH research initiatives.

Applicants should have a formal qualification in statistics, preferably hold a research degree, have relevant experience of working as an applied statistician and of teaching statistical concepts. Statistical expertise in areas of particular relevance to the behavioural sciences and psychiatry would be welcome; for example longitudinal/multilevel modelling, multivariate methods, measurement reliability and validity.
This is a fixed-time appointment with a salary at the appropriate point for qualifications and experience on the Academic scale (£39,974-£47,253 per annum inclusive of London Allowance).

Applicants who do not wish any referees to be so contacted should make this explicitly clear on their application. We are unfortunately unable to reply to those applicants who have not been short listed and invited for interview. However, we would like to thank all candidates for their applications and for their interest in working for the BRC-MH at the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and the Institute of Psychiatry, Kings College London.
